Meet Dawn Conder.  She is a beautiful lady who is all about clean living!  Dawn was introduced to me by a mutual friend based on mutual interests.  Naples is such an amazing place and I am thrilled to get to know this smart lady.  She is full of interesting stories and great advice if you follow her on Instagram you can take advantage of her expertise!  She is another amazing Face of Naples!

Please tell us a little bit about your family. Hey Ya’ll!! I’m a Wife and Momma of two teens, living in Naples. We are a itchy, rashy family, with several food and ingredient allergies. This makes a cleaner lifestyle a necessity…clean house, clean food, and clean products.

Please tell us about your current business/career. What do you love most about what you do? My passion is helping clients achieve their skin goals. Whether it is fine lines, age prevention, sensitive skin, rosacea, or acne, everyone’s needs are different. I help match the right product, for the clients current skin needs, all with safer ingredients with Beauty counter!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: Both my daughter and I have Celiac Disease, so we are always on the look out for delicious Gluten Free food. We are big fan of Cooper’s Hawk, Brooks Burgers, Angelic Desserts, and Epiphany Gluten Free Bakery.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? Where are you from originally?

A: My husband’s job moved us to Naples from Charlotte, NC six years ago. But people are always surprised to find out that I spent the first 5 years of my life in Nassau, Bahamas, before my parents relocated to Miami.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: One of my bucket list items is to travel to Ireland and Scotland, to trace my grandparents ancestry.

Q: What is your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: I am kind of a sci-fi and fantasy book and movie geek. Lost, Harry Potter, Game Of Thrones, and Outlander are some obsessions.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

A: I encourage my children to not compare themselves to others. There will always be someone who is better, someone who has more, but there is also someone who is not as good, and someone who has less. Instead do “their” best, and be grateful for what they have.

Q: What is go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

A: Whenever I need a pick me up, listening to music by Pitbull puts me in a good mood!

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

A: Original Pancake House. This was one of our family favorites, when we lived in North Carolina. We were so happy when one opened in Naples, it was very nostalgic bringing back wonderful memories! We were sad when it closed down!!!

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?

A: If I could have lunch with Oprah Winfrey, I would invite her to have a home cooked meal on my back patio. I would ask her about all her “Aha moments “, while enjoying the preserve view!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: My neighborhood is surrounded by a natural preserve. I am always amazed by the incredible wildlife, deer, bunnies, bears, otters, and beautiful birds!!!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A: In 10 years my husband and I will be empty nesters. I hope we are healthy and happy, and traveling to visit family and exploring the world.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

A: I have a love for reading and writing! I was even a journalism minor in college, covering Women’s basketball and volleyball for two of my college town newspapers.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

A: One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to is Paris, France. The history, the architecture, the cafes, the gardens, all surrounding a very modern lifestyle.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: I love Halloween, because it is 100% about the kids!And it signifies the beginning of the holiday season, which means special traditions and creating family memories.

Q: What Naples attraction would you rate a 10 out of 10 and is a must see or do?

A: Turtle Club, is a must do!!! Fantastic food with an incredible view. There’s nothing more SWFL than having your toes in the sand, watching the sun set, while savoring a delicious meal!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: My kids motivate me to be better and do better. I want to make the earth a better place, for them.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?

A: Coffee and chocolate.

Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

A: Family, Fun, and Love!
