Meet Liz Novak! President of Stewart Travel, located in the Shoppes at Vanderbilt.
Liz has always had a passion for travel, and loves sharing her wanderlust with everyone who walks through her door. How lucky is she to be able to do what she loves everyday!
Q: How long have you been a resident in Florida?
A: Liz and her husband, Gary, decided to get out of the ice and snow and moved to Naples, almost 15 years, in 2004. Liz originally opened Stewart Travel in Farmington Hills, Michigan in 1985, and the Naples office of Stewart Travel in 2009. Great decision, love Naples!
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: I combined two things that I love, Travel, and working with people, and actually photography. I thought at one point in time I wanted to be a travel photographer but, I’m probably not good enough to be a travel photographer so, I became a travel agent
Q: How did the name Stewart Travel come about?
A: Stewart was my father’s first name, it became a simple name for an agency and a tribute to him who always encouraged me to be the best I could be.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now where would you go and why?
A: Africa, I have always wanted to go there. East Africa on a safari or even South Africa, but east Africa because my father was in the British army in Kenya and Tanzania, plus I love animals!
Q: What is something interesting about you that most people don’t know?
A: I was an English Major, and I always thought I would be a novelist, however; I never had enough time to stop the career that I loved to do that.
Q: What do you like about Naples?
A: Palm Trees, and the ocean, my two favorite things in the world, plus Naples is a medium sized town with all the amenities, every kind of restaurant, every type of store, culturally exciting and vibrant, a great place to live!
